Alex is a Non Executive Director and was a co-founder of Capital SCF.
Alex advises Capital SCF on clean technology and environmental matters, as well as governance and remuneration policy.
Alex is currently the Chief Investment Officer at Partnership Assurance, a company specialising in writing impaired annuities.
From 1997 to 2007 Alex was a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager at Fidelity Investments, London, where he ran gilt, corporate, aggregate, international and European bond funds to the value of USD 5 billion. He also authored a short book on derivative instruments. From 1996 to 1997 Alex worked as a Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst at Fidelity Investments building the quantitative analytic team, and introduced state of the art risk systems and techniques.
Prior to Fidelity, Alex worked as a Fixed Income Quantitative Analyst at NatWest Markets, and at Lehman Brothers, and as Research Analyst at Manufacturers Hanover Ltd,
Alex holds an MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College, London, he read Manufacturing Engineering at Trinity Hall, Cambridge for his M.A. and M.Eng. He also holds an Investment Management Certificate and a Certificate in Quantitative Finance. Alex is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures & Commerce.
Alex was Chairman of the iBoxx oversight committee from inception to 2007.
